Grief & Loss Counseling
Are you struggling with feelings of grief?
Did a medical diagnosis change the vision you had for your life?
When you are experiencing grief, it can be difficult to know how to go on. Sometimes it can feel difficult to simply breath or get out of bed. You may be having the thought, why is everyone else going on about their day as if nothing happened. Grief may be making you feel all alone, like no one can truly understand. Grief can be difficult, feel isolating and lonely.
Grief is most commonly associated with the death of a loved one. This type of grief can be extremely difficult. Are you grieving the loss of someone?
Other forms of grief include anticipatory and preparatory grief. Which can be triggered from a miscarriage, receiving a medical diagnosis, finding out you or someone you love is terminal, a loss of a pet, a relationship breakup, divorce, losing your job, or another personal loss or significant change in your life.
Everyone grieves differently and that is completely normal. There’s no wrong way to grieve. Loss is challenging to navigate. Therapy can provide you with a safe, secure, confidential way to begin processing your grief. In therapy, you may want to share memories, struggles, and express your sorrow, without fear of judgment.
Making the right decision if a counselor is a good fit for you, is an important decision.
